Once again, RiverCourt Residences opened Veterans Day with a flag ceremony and then a reception honoring all our resident veterans and spouses of veterans.
Our residents and family members were joined by members of the Groton American Legion post, Bob Johnson the Veterans Agent for Groton, and several members of the community.
Over 100 people enjoyed the ceremony, the dedications and the continental breakfast, while having the chance to reminisce about their time in service.
Oktoberfest 2014 was a fun time for all! About 100 residents, family members and friends gathered for an authentic German lunch, followed by a party featuring the music of the Comeback Kids!
The selections included lots of Polkas and Oompah songs. Guests were treated to a great selection of German and American Oktoberfest brews, Bavarian pretzels, German Chocolate Cake, and were entertained as well by White Marriott, an incredibly talented balloon artist!

We were unable to have a luncheon trip recently due to the weather. It was hazy, hot and humid with chance of thunderstorms. So we decided to have a Pizza Party! Everyone enjoyed it. This will definitely be a repeat activity!
