The Butterfly Place

P1020728

RiverCourt residents visited the Butterfly Place in Westford and a return trip is already planned.

Everyone loved the experience of viewing so many varieties of butterflies perched on flowers, enjoying the sunshine and flying freely in the natural habitat. One resident was asked how she liked the Butterfly Place and she responded “I was entranced”.

Art in Bloom!

Art in Bloom croppedLast Friday the residents went to the Fitchburg Art Museum for the 16th Annual Art in Bloom celebration. The event celebrates springtime with floral designs inspired by and reflecting works of art throughout the museum’s exhibits.

It was amazing to see the creativity in their floral designs!

RiverCourt Residences was a proud sponsor of the event. Read More.

Easter Bunny Memories!

Easter has come and gone but the residents are still talking about the bunny! He was generous with candy and eggs (of course!) and kept everyone smiling.

Students help us welcome Spring!

P1020684A group of students from Parker Charter School came and gave all the residents handmade Welcome Spring door hangers that they had made for us!

The cheerful and creative hangers were appreciated and brought joy and smiles to the residents. It has been a long, cold winter and both students and residents are ready for a change. We’re all glad winter is over and Spring is finally here! Thanks to the students from the Parker Charter School for cheering everyone up.

CNA student entertains residents!

Bernis-diazCNA student Bernis Corona Diaz recently completed his Work Based Learning internship  for Shriver Job Corps in Reflections. While his normal tasks include serving lunch and assisting in cleaning up, Bernis brought his guitar and flute in one day to entertain the residents. They loved it! Along with playing for them, he also asked them to participate in a sing-a-long. His performance was approximately 45 minutes long. Kim Landi, Program Director, RN was so pleased with this student and how great he was with the residents. Bernis left his internship with a job application! Bernis stated that he has been playing the guitar and flute for about 10 years now and hopes to continue putting a smile on the faces of the RiverCourt residents. He says all the women in the audience during his performance were “beautiful”.

You can’t beat the view!

Sharing the love of music!

The “RiverCourt Singers” recently went on a road trip to Life Care Center in Littleton.

Singers from Reflections, Assisted Living and Independent Living joined with members of the Life Care community for a fun sing-along. We enjoyed the opportunity to visit with former RiverCourt residents as well as current residents who are rehabbing at the facility.

It’s a great way to get out in the community and share the love of music!
