Testimonials

“I would like to thank the staff at RiverCourt Residences for their kindness and commitment to meeting the daily living needs of my family members. I recommend RiverCourt Residences without reservation; in fact, I have so much confidence with the quality of the staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, the outstanding food services and exciting program offerings, that two of my family members are presently located there. I have been extremely pleased with the entire process.

My first experience was with the Marketing Team which was extremely professional. The Marketing Director focused on the needs of my family members and how RiverCourt Residences can best assist to enhance their quality of life. His perspective was from that of compassion and understanding – not about the business. This approach was refreshing relative to other facilities and programs that I reviewed.

As I then started working with the Clinical Staff, I felt there was a team working together to successfully transition my family members into RiverCourt Residences. This process was not always easy but we worked together and never gave up! Moving someone who has been at their home for forty, fifty or sixty years can be challenging but the entire RiverCourt Residences team including the Executive Director really worked in overdrive to make the transition a success. They never lost sight of human side of my story and for that, the entire team from the maintenance staff, the dining room servers, the aids and the person at the concierge desk should all be highly commended for their commitment to excellence in service.

As a Selectman and community leader, I feel fortunate that the Nashoba Region has such an excellent facility located in its backyard. The realities of an aging population present both personal challenges and civic responsibilities for our community and its inhabitants. RiverCourt Residences rises to the occasion and addresses the concerns of an aging parent or loved one with dignity, compassion and the utmost professionalism. Good for You!

Thank you for ensuring that my loved ones are safe and happy as they enter a new and exciting phase in their life.

“On behalf of our family I wanted to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the care and guidance your team gave to our Dad over the past three years. I think the one thing that Dad felt most strongly about was his new family he developed there at RiverCourt.

His new family was your team of dedicated professionals. Like a lot of folks there, as time progressed, Dad’s needs became greater and required considerably more assistance, your team did a tremendous job stepping up with whatever it took to help Dad out. Our family felt tremendously comfortable knowing that your entire team treated our Dad as if he was theirs. Dad had a saying he used when he thought something was pretty special and that was 'Top Shelf'.

Well… Top Shelf RiverCourt a many many thanks for all your efforts with my Dad.”

“When my Dad died, my sister and I and a team of hired caregivers worked very hard to keep my Mom, who has dementia, in her home. We succeeded for several months. As her illness progressed, however, we had to strain to keep up and began to feel overwhelmed and drained. There were so many responsibilities, from supplying Mom's basic needs of meals and a clean home to obtaining, organizing, and administering her meds.

We kept her bathed, her clothes clean, managed incontinence issues, tried to keep her protected from those who might take advantage of her gullibility, etc.. It all became too much for us and we also became worried about Mom's well-being and safety. It was at that point that you introduced me to the Reflections Unit at RiverCourt Residences.

Thank you so much for helping me to admit my mom into that unit. I honestly cannot think of a better place for her. Now she has an energetic, competent staff to take care of her 24 hours a day, seven days a week - a staff that delivers care directly from the heart. Additionally, Laurie, the units full-time activities coordinator, is upbeat and creative. She keeps mom exercising every day, involved in activities from art to games to manicures, entertained with regular van trips, and more.

My Mom has always loved to sing, and I particularly like it that the residents sing daily and that a singing group was formed in response to her (and other residents') interest. Their December 'RiverCourt Singers Recital' was impressive and delightful. Also, I like it that my Mom is in a coed community, so that she interacts with male as well as female peers. She has much more of a social life than she had living alone at her home.

My Mom's care has involved many kinds of attentive details, specially geared to her, such as limiting her coffee intake and serving her a special tea. Several professional people have asked me for RiverCourt's name and address, upon hearing about this willingness of the staff to go the extra mile for my mom. In fact, I have encountered several RiverCourt commendations that I'd like to bring to your attention. Here are three, starting with a medical need of my moms. She has very sensitive skin and it must regularly receive special attention, including the application of a powder and ointment. At her last physical, her long-term, primary-care physician (Dr. Mark Rollo, Fallon Clinic, Fitchburg, MA) noted that her skin was in perfect condition, and I quote him, ‘This indicates excellent care.’

A different kind of acknowledgement was provided when we sold my Mom's house. At that time, as is the usual routine, the court appointed an attorney to make sure that my Mom's interests were being protected. In his report, that Attorney, Jeffrey Weber of Holden, MA, stated about RiverCourt, ‘The facility where in she resides is one of the finer viewed by this investigator. It is exceptionally clean and well-maintained and friendly. The staff expressed to the investigator how much they enjoyed working there, and how much they enjoyed their residents.’

And finally, my Mom's own personal attorney, Thomas Gustafson of Lunenburg, MA, after hearing about my mom's quality care during the past three years, stated that he himself plans to reside at RiverCourt Residences when the time comes.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me to arrange my moms residence at RiverCourt. RiverCourt provides an incomparable, high-quality, personable environment, enabling me to relax and trust that she is happy and well cared for.”
