3 Examples of Emotional Wellness

  1. Saying No When You Need to Without Feeling Guilty: Sometimes saying no is really difficult, it’s knowing in what instance that saying no is okay that stresses some people out. For instance, saying no to working later one day at work may be hard, but knowing your limits and how hard you have been working can all be keys to knowing when to say no. Saying no to going out one night with your friends may be hard, you have to know your mental health and your physical health in order to be able to say no and maybe next time. Saying no can be hard, sometimes all it takes is practice.
  2. Try to Forgive Yourself: Sometimes the hardest thing to do is not to forgive someone else but to forgive yourself. Taking the time to reflect and realize that everyone makes mistakes is one way that you can lift yourself up from this burden. Whether it is a horrible situation that went wrong or something you did to someone by mistake, sometimes, even if they don’t forgive you, you need to forgive yourself for clarity.
  3. Feeling Content with Your Life: The longer we go through life without worry and sorrow, the more content your life will be. To do this sometimes all it takes is talking to people and sorting things out to make sure that you are content with the life that you are living. That doesn’t necessarily mean a therapist, even just a friend or family member will do. Talking things out can be cathartic and will uplift you, especially if you can get someone who will listen to you wholeheartedly. Sometimes all it takes is a listening ear.
